Valle del Este Golf Resort: The Valle del Este Golf Resort is one of Southern Spain's most
prestigious golf courses. The facilities enjoyed by the resort include golf, padel tennis (which is a mixture of tennis and squash),
swimming pools, shops, restaurants, a bank and access to the Valle del Este Hotel facilities. Visitors to the complex
can also gain access to the Valle del Este 'Beach Club' which is located a short drive away
on the Vera Playa. Magnificent views of the mountains and countryside can be seen from various points
situated along the complex's walkways.
The course: The Valle del Este golf course was designed by Jose Canales and opened in 2002. The course is an 18 hole, par 71 course of 5700 metres covering approximately 56 hectares. The course offers a mixture of well playable holes for all levels of golf ability and holes that represent a real challenge for more experienced golfers. An unusual feature of the golf course are the raised platform tees.
Pro Shop A modern Pro Shop is located within the Valle del Este Hotel facility. It is a well stocked with
golfing equipment and a range of fashionable sports clothing. The hotel facilities includes a very comfortable sports
bar and restaurant with large TV screens and terrace bar, games room, an outdoor swimming pool and changing rooms.
Location: The Valle del Este Golf Resort is located about 90 km from Almeria City and close to the beautiful old Spanish towns of Vera, Garrucha and Mojacar Pueblo, and the tourist resort of Mojacar Playa. Vera is a great place to visit which boasts many shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Do not miss the Saturday market, where absolutely everything is on sale, including a few useful items! A 10 minute drive leads to the lively resort of Mojacar Playa and the beautiful old town of Mojacar Pueblo.
Beaches: The complex is a short drive away from the beaches of Mojacar, Garrucha, Vera, Villaricos, Carboneras and San Juan de los Terreros. For those wishing to take a break for the golf, you will find some beautiful towns to explore along the Almeria coastline. As you travel along the coast road look out for the tracks leading to the sea where you will fine wonderful secluded bays and coves.
Places to visit: A modern water park is located at Vera Playa which is a short drive away. Mini-Hollywood can be reached within 45 minutes and is the longest established of three theme parks existing in the area.
