Granada Airport: is located near a small town of Santa Fé about 17 Kilometres west of
Granada City and 106 kilometres from Jaén. The single-terminal facility of Granada Airport (GRX)
provides a popular gateway into the popular region of Andalusia.
The airport was opened in 1922 and was soon to be known as the Dávila Aerodrome. The airport has been impoving over the years and was greatly improved and modernised during the early 1990s, partly due to the forthcoming World Ski Championships.
Ryanair: More recently, Ryanair has started operating flights to and from Granada Airport and in 2006, the airport was renamed to become the Federico Garcia Lorca Airport (GRX), after a famous local poet.

Airport facilities: There are three ATMs machine located in the terminal, as well as an information counter. Granada Airport has a shopping area where a range of traditional Spanish food and souvenirs can be found. The Cafeteria Los Abades is situated on the eastern side of the airport and serves everything from salads and sandwiches, to Spanish-style dishes.
Bus service: A bus service links Granada Airport to Granada City Centre. The service runs at regular intervals during flight arrivals times. More detailed information can be obtained from the bus company on 0034 958 490 164.
Car rentals: There are several leading car hire companies based at the airport. Their desks are in the main building and pick-up points are next to the car park. The four main car-hire companies are Avis, Atesa, Europcar, Hertz and more operators can be found on the internet.
Taxis: You should be able to find a taxi just outside the main arrivals hall at Granada Airport. Taxis fares are pretty cheap, so you could consider hiring a cab to take you to Granada City centre, the Alhambra, or to the Pradollano ski resort in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Arriving by car: The airport is easy to get to, using the main A92 motorway that runs from Seville to Granada. From Malaga, follow the N331 then A359 which meets the A92 near Loja. Upon arrival at the airport, there is a car park for 347 vehicles right outside the terminal building. Parking charges are: up to 30 minutes, free, after that from 1.5€. A 24 hour pass and a monthly pass are available. The car park is open 7.30am - 9.30pm.
Travel to Mojacar: It is approximately 128 miles from Mojacar with an estimated journey time of 3 hours.
