Visitors to Almeria will find one of the finest coastlines in Spain. locally manufacture ceramics. Mojacar Playa is situated 1 km below the old town. Here you'll find miles of beaches,
great beach bars, shops and dozens of restaurants where your can eat your way around the world with an
amazing choice of local dishes, French, Chinese, Cantonese, Argentinean, Mexican, Irish, English or a good Thai or

Golf in Almeria Spain
The region of Almeria Spain has a ideal year-round climate, ideal for playing golf. Golf is presently the fastest
growing leisure activity in Almeria and becoming increasing popular with golfers looking for a cheaper alternative
to the more traditional golf courses on the Costa de Sol and Portugal.
The region of Almeria is nicely split into two golfing areas. South of Almeria City you will find La Envia Golf, Playa Serena Golf, Alboran Golf and Golf Almerimar, which are all within easy reach of the holiday resorts of Croquets de Mar, Almeria City and Almerimar.
North of Almeria City and close to the holiday resorts of Mojacar Playa, Garrucha and Vera you will find Marina Golf, Desert Springs Golf, El Cortijo Grande Golf and Valle de Este Golf Resort. New golf courses are presently being constructed near Mojacar and San Juan de los Terreros.
Parque Natural Cabo de Gata
In 1987 nearly 50,000 hectares of land and sea was declared by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve. Located on the
south eastern corner of Spain, the Cabo de Gata coastline has some of the most tranquil and pristine
waters in Spain. It is composed of sand dunes and salt pans, edged by a chain of desert mountains
which fall sharply into the sea creating wonderful hidden bays and sandy covers that are perfect
places for exploring, walking, swimming, sunbathing or just relaxing. The crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean
are great for underwater photographic, snorkelling and SCUBA diving as well as sailing and windsurfing.
The reserve is also one of Europe's most important areas for breeding and over wintering birds and an
important stopping-off point for migrating birds on the Africa-Europe route.

is possible to ski in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada in morning and sunbath on the beaches of Mojacar Playa in the afternoon. The
popular Sierra Nevada ski resort of Pradollano is only 200 kilometres from Almeria City and can be reached within a few hours drive.
The Sierra Nevada ski resorts are the most southern skiing locations in all of Europe. They boast more hours of sunlight and the longest
season (November to May) than any other European Ski Resort. From Pradollano ski village you have a choice of 51 runs
covering 65km, Veleta Peak is the highest point at 3,398 meters above sea level.
