There were a number of fantastic Valentine’s Day celebrations at various restaurants in February. I’m sure similar events are being planned in March for St. Patrick’s Day. Keep your eyes open for activities planned during March.

On the local scene, check out Rayo Del Sol in Mojacar Pueblo. On Friday nights during the winter, you can catch Clive Sarstedt and Derek ‘Big D’ Turner at Rayo Del Sol. For more information, call Rayo Del Sol at 690 747 124.

On Friday nights, Le Bistro in Albox offers live music from 8pm until late. If you’re looking for something with a little Latin or Spanish flare, then head to the restaurant at Saliente which now features Flamenco every Saturday.

If you’re in the El Pinar area, (between Los Gallardos and Bedar), check out Bar El Pinar. You’ll find live music every Saturday night with Jesse Alsono from 8pm and every Tuesday night live music with Fig & Bucket from 8pm. For Information contact, Janet or Kevin on 950 469 036.

Don’t forget to catch the group Fig & Bucket with Jude, Jeff and Paul pounding out tune after tune on Sunday evenings at Sax On The Beach too. If you’re a musician or vocalist, you’ll want to visit Sax On The Beach Restaurant and Bar on Wednesday evenings and participate in their weekly jam session. For information, call 950 475 502.

On March 2nd, the Frank Gambale Natural High Trio, featuring Otmaro Ruiz and Alain Caron with Frank Gambale on acoustic guitar, Alain Caron on bass and Otmaro Ruiz on piano will also be appearing at the Maestro Padilla in Almeria city.

Now, how about something new in entertainment … A Live Radio Broadcast Taping? Starting Monday, February 27th, join me every Monday evening at Sax On The Beach Restaurant and Bar. Come participate in our late Monday evening “Quiet Storm” show (for lovers, romantics and those wishing to listen to soulful and relaxing music) from 10pm to 12 midnight. This program will be taped with a live audience for airing on Valle Radio 89.8 FM Radio.
