As well as relaxing in the sun all day, guests will find this a relaxing space to sit in the evenings with candles and sangria!
Golf enthusiasts have several golf courses in the area. These include Cortijo Grande
(9 hole 18 tee) which is the oldest course in the area to the new 18 hole golf courses of Desert Springs, Valle del Este, Marina de la
Torre and Playa Macenas,
Mini Hollywood park and zoo, where the spaghetti
westerns were made, is at Tabernas. There are caves to visit at Sorbas, the natural park with flamingos at
Cabo de Gata, and the Alhambra at Granada is only a couple of hours drive.
The beach resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha are great tourist resorts with golden beaches, lots of tapas bars, restaurants and beach bars. The ancient Moorish hilltop village of Mojacar Pueblo (seen in the distance) is a must, with its cobbled streets and alleyways, great gift shops, music venues, cultural centre, bars and restaurants. There are other white villages to visit, including Bedar and Nijar. There is a marina/fishing port at Garrucha with seafood restaurants. At Vera there is the oldest bullring in Spain, a naturist beach and Saturday weekly market.
