Gran Plaza: The Gran Plaza is a large modern shopping centre which houses 125 new retails outlets and good underground parking. The shopping centre includes a large supermarket, a large Leroy Merlin DIY store, a large electrical store, designer shops, sports shops, multi screen cinema (2 English), 10 pin bowling alley, games machines and a good selection of restaurants and cafe bars.

Other attractions: Roquetas de Mar is a family holiday resort which has three main areas: the village (pueblo), the port and the urbanisation where holiday apartments, hotels and tourist facilities are located. Roquetas has 3 km of beautiful blue flag beaches which are clean, quiet and safe. Visitors to the area are being attracted to new attractions such as the bullfighting ring, which seats 8,000 spectators and doubles as an international concert venue, and the newly opened Auditorium Theatre, with interior seating for 1,300 spectators. This hosts stars from the world of Music, Ballet and Theatre.

Roquetas has many facilities including restaurants, tapas bars, a large Sea life Aquarium, and a Water park at nearby Aquadulce.

Market day: Roquetas de Mar open air market takes place every Thursday

Travel: The Gran Plaza Parque Comercial is approximately 70 miles and will take about 1hr 15 minutes to drive from Mojacar. When you leave Mojacar take the AL-118 towards Los Gallardos where you will meet the A-370. Leave the A-370 and join the A-7 at junction (520) and head towards the [E-15] Almeria. Leave the A-7 at junction (429) and go straight ahead onto the roundabout, take the direction signposted towards Roguetas De Mar, Aguadulce, Enix, Felix. After 179 yards take the 3rd exit off the roundabout onto the A-391. After 208 yards take the 1st exit off the next roundabout and continue along the A-391. Continue along the A-391 for approximately 1 mile, the Gran Plaza is on the right hand side on the road.
